BLANK
We feature an arsenal of graphite and E-glass blanks that are designed for durability and un compromised performance. Using state-of-the-art technology, all of our blanks are "spined" for precision casting accuracy and to eliminate twisting. E-Glass models, in traditional actions, provide proven success offshore, while the graphite casting and spinning series rounds out the inshore and freshwater arsenal—all in our signature Pink.
GUIDES
We have found that using more guides on our rods distributes the stress evenly down the rod and eliminate line breakage due to stress. We use an exclusive trademarked super-hard Holographic Titanium Nitride coating over Zirconia Ring. This material has a hardness and heat dissipation factor approaching that of silicon carbide. Zirconium provides a highly durable substance to withstand even the toughest of today's fishing lines. These guides are manufactured with a duel process of hard chroming, then a PVD coating to produce a finished frame that looks more like jewelry that a rod component. The super-hard Titanium Nitride Holographic finish changes color depending upon the angle you look at it—red, blue, green, gold, purple, pink—every color in the rainbow.
GRIP
Our grips are remarkably lightweight and extremely durable. Our EVA grips are ergonomically designed, relieving stress and tension. Our Portuguese cork grips are designed to our specifications to give that extra touch to your finished custom rods. Many anglers prefer rods with high quality cork tape due to its durability, sensitivity, and resistance to moisture.
REAL SEAT
New deluxe graphite reel seats in both spinning and casting are the best available. Extra sturdy construction guarantees durability to last a lifetime. Our reel seats are mounted using a solid fill of epoxy for a super strong bond. Spinning reel seats feature cushioned, self-aligning stainless steel hoods which eliminate corrosion between real and reel seat hood making this reel seat ideal for saltwater use. Boat rods utilize heavy duty graphite reel seats with extra heavy walls, ribbed IDs for a stronger bond, cushioned aluminum anodized hoods to prevent electrolysis, and an oversized nut reinforced with an anodized aluminum trim band for strength and ease of use.
THREAD WRAP
We use Gudebrod thread for our over and under wraps. All threads are wrapped and packed together getting more thread on the guide foot resulting in a stronger wrap. Our Signature Double Diamond Wrap is currently offered in three exclusive combinations. And Diamonds ARE a Girl's Best Friend!
COATING
OceanGirl only uses a rod finish with UV Protection. This reduces fading and thread breakdown for long lasting reliability and beauty. This rod finish also earned a 1st Place in recent independent testing of ten leading brands.
